Wayne has exhibited at Blenheim Gallery in September 2023 with fellow artists Chee Yong and Gene McLaren.
Wayne lives in Launceston and through his life time his artistic pursuit has been extensive both academically, and and through exhibiting with works in many major collections as you will see.
His technique the works are immaculately presented with a unique style of his own personal genre which adds to the experience of enjoying each individual work.
In 2000 Hudson was awarded the Rosamond McCulloch Studio in Paris, from the University of Tasmania and supported by the Australia Council.
In 1993 and 1997 Hudson undertook internships at the prestigious Paley Studios, Rochester, New York, USA. Also in 1993 he was awarded the Queen Elizabeth 11, Art Council of New Zealand Artist in residence in association with Unitec, Auckland, New Zealand.
Hudson is represented at the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery, Launceston, the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, Hobart, Tasmania, David Duncan’s private sculpture park, Lake Riley, Queenstown, New Zealand and MONA Hobart, Tasmania.
Hudson has completed 28 Public Art Commissions in Tasmania and South Australia. In 2002 - 2012 he was appointed Head of Sculpture at the School of Visual and Performing Arts, University of Tasmania, Launceston.
Since 2012 he has been working in his studio in Launceston, Tasmania.
