Chee Yong “Salon des Refuses”, now at David Roche Foundation, North Adelaide

Chee Yong is now on display at David Roche Foundation in North Adelaide with a work "Garden 3 am", which had previously been on display with the Salon Des Refuses exhibition at S H Ervin Gallery, National Trust Sydney. The alternative Archibald and Wynne Prize selection.

The David Roche Foundation of North Adelaide exhibition continues to 25 October 2024.

Chee states for the exhibition "Lately I have been waking up in the middle of the night and unable to get back to sleep.

My bedroom window looks out to the garden that I have been working on for the past 10 years.

Everything looks a bit different and ambiguous at 3am as trees, shrubs and flowering plants mass and blend in the darkness".

Blenheim Gallery and Garden will be exhibiting a solo show of Chee's recent paintings in September 2025.
